Hue possessed a long history with many of the remaining historical sites. Most of them are the palaces, tombs, pagodas from the Nguyen Dynasty. And during the Tet holiday, some of the traditional ritual from that time are still kept until today. On the 2nd day in Lunar Calendar is the Neu tree Raising ceremony. Neu tree is a 15-meter man-made tree, and on top is usually decorated with special charms or seal. The meaning of the ceremony is to pray for a peaceful and prosperous years, chase away all the bad luck for the Emperor and his people.
