Some travel businesses estimated losses of up to several tens of billion

About a month after the new outbreak of pneumonia caused by a new strain of Coronavirus (nCoV) was first detected in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China, on January 27, the government issued a ban on group trip abroad. Shortly thereafter, some localities in Vietnam such as Khanh Hoa, Lao Cai, Da Nang... also announced that they would stop receiving Chinese guests due to fears of widespread pneumonia. As a key tourist market of Vietnam's tourism industry for many years, China's "secluded port" because of epidemics caused many travel businesses, service heavy damage.

Some travel businesses estimated losses of up to several tens of billion, only in the period from the Lunar New Year to the present. All tour operators must cancel all tours from China to Vietnam and vice versa, closing tours to take tourists to China. A series of restaurants and hotels in tourist "hotspots" such as Nha Trang, Da Nang... even had to temporarily cease operations.
